About this book
Most of us measure our value by human standards. We want to matter. We expend a lifetime of energy to achieve a sense of significance by hiding our weaknesses and touting our real or perceived strengths. We judge ourselves to be demoted in worth because of our failings. We allow the weight of our deficiencies to defeat any expectation of recovery. We and others often define us as defunct.
