The first includes generalities about BSM: extractionmethods, biosynthetic routes and structural determination data: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance.Some examples are provided at the end of the section that answer the questions we can askourselves about knowledge of them. In the second section, BSM are developed that act indifferent systems. Finally in the third section, those that act as anti-infectives, antitumor, immunomodulators and antivirals are studied
