Description
The aim of this book is to illustrate the state of the art on the scientific exploration of the cerebral bases of consciousness, through the presentation of exemplar neurological and psychiatric disorders affecting consciousness. These include sleep problems, drug-induced anaesthesia, coma and vegetative states, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, psychiatric disassociative disorders. Implications for treatment and management of such disorders are not overlooked.
